Homeschool Resource Review: The Collections from Homeschool Resource Co
I’ve been buying and promoting various resources from Homeschool Resource Co for years {HRC was formerly known as Digital Grab Bag} so I thought it was high-time that I write a review on what they have to offer!
What are the Collections from Homeschool Resource Co?
According to their site, “Collections are bundled supplemental homeschool products and resources sold for a limited time at an amazing price.”
In my own words…Collections are supplemental resources that are bundled together to allow customers to buy them much cheaper than if purchased individually. And, Collections are only sold for a limited time.
What type of supplemental resources are in the Collections from Homeschool Resource Co?
Each Collection mostly contains printable resources, but there will also sometimes be a course or two.
What grade levels are included in the Collections from Homeschool Resource Co?
HRC always seems to cover every level PreK-12th Grade in each Collection, but Middle School and High School is definitely not represented as well as PreK-5th. There will also be resources for Moms and sometimes whole families as well.
Which subjects are covered in the Collections from Homeschool Resource Co?
That depends on the Collection. Homeschool Resource Co offers three Collections each year:
- The Homeschool Collection which covers a variety of subjects such as ELA, math, history, geography, art, music and more.
- The Gospel Collection which includes a variety of resources all pertaining to Bible Study, verse memorization, religious history, discipleship, etc.
- The Celebration Collection which offers a variety of holiday-themed resources that span the entire year from New Year’s to St. Pat’s, Easter to Flag Day, Independence Day to Labor Day, Thanksgiving to Christmas, and everything in between.
How do you access the resources in the Collections from Homeschool Resource Co?
To purchase a Collection, you need to create a simple account with HRC. Once you have that and you make a purchase, your purchased Collection will appear in your account where it will remain available for three months. So, the best thing to do is to download each resource you want from the Collection as soon as you make the purchase…that way, you are not scrambling at the end. As soon as you download a resource, it’s yours to use/keep forever just as long as you don’t lose it!
How much is a Collection from Homeschool Resource Co?
Prices will vary from Collection to Collection but usually fall into the $25-$40 range. And, there are always coupons available to take an extra 10% off the purchase price. The WOLFe Pack’s coupon code is always HRC10TWP.

Is the current Collection from Homeschool Resource Co worth the cost?
The current Collection, The Homeschool Collection, comes in two options:
- Core – as seen above with 45 ELA, Math, History/Geography, Science resources – $35
- Core+ – includes everything in Core and adds on Art, Music, Foreign Language and resources for Moms – $49
Is the Core option worth $35 {or with coupon code HRC10TWP… just $31.50}? Yes, for sure it is. The 45 resources included are valued at over $700, but….I’m not gonna lie. Some of my fellow blogging/content creators tend to overprice their items so the $700 definitely is inflated in my opinion. But…even if you whack that in half and say it’s worth just $350, obviously $35 is still a steal!
But, the real question you should should be asking is…
Will I use the resources in the current Collection from Homeschool Resource Co?
Value should really be based on usefulness, right? So, will you actually USE enough of the resources to make the $35 worth it?
Chances are, you won’t use all 45 resources inside the Core Collection. So, how many will you use? Only you can decide that!
