HOW TO PLAY IN ONE SENTENCE: Roll a die and answer the assigned question read by an opponent from a game card.
ORGANIZATIONAL COMPONENT: ♥♥♥♥♥ Just like all Professor Noggin games, this one came packaged in a sturdy box with one die, 30 game cards, and one instruction card. And, as always, the the cards are colorful and durable. The game is easy to maintain and store. Plus, they stack on top of one another beautifully! ORGANIZATIONAL COMPONENT SCORE: 5/5 ♥♥♥♥♥
FUN FACTOR: ♥♥♥♥__ Noggin’s games are always fun to play in small groups and make the perfect time-filler before dinner, in between assignments, over lunch, in the car, etc. The other thing we love about all of Noggin’s games, and SPACE is no exception, is the fact that there are two levels on every card that can be played simultaneously. This helps even the playing field and makes it fun for players of all ages and skill levels. However, we only give it 4 stars because it’s not the kind of laugh-out-loud fun that would have most kids begging to play this on Saturday morning! But, it is a quick, simple and fun way to practice/learn facts about SPACE! FUN FACTOR SCORE: 4/5 ♥♥♥♥__
EDUCATIONAL VALUE: ♥♥♥♥♥ The game touches on a wide range of topics including the sun, stars, the moon, all nine planets, astronauts, asteroids and more! But considering how vast space it, it would be impossoble to create a single game that encompasses all of the topic. So, it’s important to recognize that this game is not designed to teach your kids the entirety of the subject. But, it does a great job of reviewing/teaching a basic overview of space. EDUCATIONAL VALUE SCORE: 5/5 ♥♥♥♥♥
CLARITY LEVEL: ♥♥♥♥♥ All of Professor Noggin’s games are very simple to play! There is one two-sided card that includes the instructions that make it all very clear and leave no room for confusion. CLARITY LEVEL SCORE: 5/5 ♥♥♥♥♥
OVERALL SCORE: ♥♥♥♥__ Whether you are doing a full-blown space study or you just have some space geeks in your house, Professor Noggin Space would make a great addition to your collection of educational games!
