ORGANIZATIONAL COMPONENT: ♥♥♥♥♥ All Professor Noggin games come in sturdy, little boxes with one die, 30 game cards, and one instruction card. The cards are colorful, durable, and independent of one another {meaning, if you lose one or three, it does not impact gameplay.} It’s all very neat, tidy and easy to maintain. Plus, they stack on top of one another beautifully! ORGANIZATIONAL COMPONENT SCORE: 5/5 ♥♥♥♥♥

FUN FACTOR: ♥♥♥♥__ We found this to be a fun, little game! As with all of Noggin’s games, the turns are fast and simple. And you can modify it to make it fun for multiple ages and skill levels by selecting Student, Scholar or a mixed version. However, we only give it 4 stars because it’s not the kind of laugh-out-loud fun that would have most kids clamoring for this to be chosen on Family Game Night. But, it is a fun way to practice/learn facts about Earth Science! FUN FACTOR SCORE: 4/5 ♥♥♥♥__
EDUCATIONAL VALUE: ♥♥♥♥♥ The game touches on a wide range of topics including biomes, rocks/minerals, land formations, and more. But as you can imagine, there is no earthly way to make a single game that encompasses ALL of any topic, let alone earth science. So, it’s important to recognize that this game is not designed to teach your kids the entirety of the subject. But, considering what it is trying to do, it does a good job! Another benefit of playing any of Noggin’s games is that there are always two levels of play, which can be played simultaneously so it allows kids of several ages/skills to play together. EDUCATIONAL VALUE SCORE: 5/5 ♥♥♥♥♥

CLARITY LEVEL: ♥♥♥♥♥ The game is very simple to play and the instructions reflect that perfectly. They are simple, clear and succinct with little/no room for confusion. CLARITY LEVEL SCORE: 5/5 ♥♥♥♥♥
OVERALL SCORE: ♥♥♥♥__ If you have been studying earth science or want to find a fun way to introduce a new unit on the subject, this is a quick and inexpensive way to do so. We enjoy many of Professor Noggin’s games as a fun piece of our school day and Professor Noggin Earth Science has been a fun addition. It’s quick, fun and educational. And, if, like me, you don’t recall much from your own science classes {way back when,} no worries. Just use the cards as learning tools instead and learn while you play. You’ll probably lose to your kids, but that’s okay. When everybody learns, everybody wins! OVERALL SCORE: 95% ♥♥♥♥__
